Full Bloom Edge Coloring
Learn this fun and easy edge coloring thread painting applique technique. Inspired by Barbara Persing’s “Full Bloom Quilt”. Make this sample “mini” quilt with techniques developed by the original designers. You will learn raw edge applique, glue basting, thread painting and free motion quilting. Even if you don’t want to make the full size quilt, this technique can be applied to any applique design, really. You will use the technique pattern, fabrics and stabilizer, included in the class kit. Finished size 8x11.
Student supply list:
Sewing machine with straight and zigzag stitch capability
Foot pedal, cord and operation manual (important)
Embroidery foot or free motion foot for your machine
FRESH 80/12 or 90/14 Sharps, universal, quilting or Microtex needle
Thread in several bright colors. Machine embroidery thread is nice but not essential.

Frixion or water soluable fine line pen
Fine line Sharpie marker
Everyday sewing supplies
