Well this month sure does seem to be flying and I sure do not feel like I have a handle on Christmas. I spoke with Scott's aunt and she was at her daughters and they were making Christmas cookies! Now that sounds delicious. Maybe next weekend I can at least bake a batch of something!
Last week on Thanksgiving we made our traditional homemade yeast rolls. As per our tradition, we ate the first batch straight out of the oven, before dinner. This being Jarvas' first Thanksgiving, he had no idea what savages we are when it comes to these rolls. He was going to sit at the table to eat his, while the rest of us stood in the kitchen with butter dripping off our chins! He knows better now!
We did have a wonderful time with Michele and the boys. Franklin had a fun birthday, a great cake and fishing! We took them to Lake Placid to see the murals and then found a beach for some water fun. Jarvas had never been to a beach before! It was a great day for all of us.
As some of you may have seen on Facebook , we still have time to quilt about 7 more quilts before we close on December 20th for the holidays. So if you have something you would like quilted before the end of the year, come on in.We have also decided that we will be open on Monday, December 8th and 15th from 12-4. This will a give those who have quilts that Scott has quilted a little bit more time to be able to pick up their finished quilts.
We will be closing the shop at 3pm on Saturday, December 20th for the holiday season. We will re-open on Friday, January 2nd at 10am. Thank you for your friendship and support.
